Accessibility Statement
We work with families who have a wide range of needs, and we consider a website that is hard to use to be an unfinished one. This statement explains what we have done and what is still ahead.
The standard we follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What is in place today
- Semantic HTML with a proper heading hierarchy and clear landmarks.
- Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- A "Skip to content" link at the start of every page.
- Alternative text on every meaningful image, with decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Color contrast meeting at least 4.5:1 for body text.
- Respect for the system "reduce motion" setting — all animation stops when it is enabled.
- Touch targets of at least 44×44 pixels.
- Full support for both RTL and LTR reading directions.
What we know still needs work
Videos embedded from YouTube rely on that platform's own captions. We are working on adding manually reviewed Arabic and English captions for every video. Embedded Google Maps are also limited in accessibility, which is why we always show the full address as text next to every map.
